Equipment Inspection Information
The Equipment Inspection for the 2024 Australian & Oceania ILCA Championships will occur on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Please note to register for the regatta you will need a completed Equipment Inspection Form.
When
All competitors must book a 30-minute slot for inspection using this link: https://www.slottr.com/sheets/
Please note there are 8 competitors booked into each slot, so please turn up on time and be patient as we work our way through the queue. All inspectors are volunteers and will be doing their best to ensure we run an efficient inspection process.
Where
The Equipment Inspection will take place in the boat shed adjacent to the top car park.
If queuing is required, please do so in an orderly line heading back towards the clubhouse.
Preparation
Please rig your boat with all control lines, lower section and boom in place. Your other equipment should be loose on the deck or in the boat – no covers. Please ensure your boat is clean and dry.

Please note – ILCA 7 sailors will need to have their rigging inspected outside of the boatshed to allow clearance of their lower section under the door of the shed. Once checked they can lower their rig to enter the shed.
We will be checking:
- Rigging: Control line systems, Traveller, Mainsheet
- Hull: Mast tie down, centrecase, centreboard friction pad in centrecase, Dolly “serviceable”
- Spars: length, straightness, placement of fittings
- Foils: Max thickness, rudder angle
- Sails: Size and placement of sail numbers, batten length, red rhombus
What if something doesn’t pass?
If there are any items that don’t pass inspection, please continue through the entire process. We will mark down what needs to be corrected and you can re-present with the modification later in the day and complete the process.
We look forward to seeing you over the coming two days and to a great regatta.
