During recent Championships many boats were presented for Measurement / Inspection that were not in accord with ILCA class rules. This is a frustrating experience for all concerned and causes delays in the Measurement queues. Often these non-compliances involve significant effort and are difficult to correct away from home.
The placement of Sail Numbers and Letters, incorrect cutting of ‘Digital 8’ characters, Laser 4.7 mast bend, boat signage, and location of Radial mast bottom section inner sleeve, are things that can be checked and corrected before arriving at the Championships.
Consequently, entrants are advised to check and correct if necessary their sail, boat signage and masts in accord with the following attached guides . Should any additional issues arise refer to the ILCA website or your District Measurer.
Need assistance to correct your Sail Numbers and Letters? Then contact or better still forward your sail to a local agent for correction.
